Many of the homes contained good cellars (wine??).
The Germans ate, drank and sang all night long before they finally left the next morning.
Leaving behind a village of blackened walls, piles of stones, shells of twisted and torn cars and the skeletal remains of the church.
Silence had finally fallen upon Oradour....
