Here's a vanished sight: waves from the east and west intersecting at the root of the sandbar leading to Gooseberry Neck when the tide comes in. The causeway cuts off the waves today.

Kruxo card style dates to 1910-1920s. This view probably dates to before they started placing boulders along the sandbar in the teens.
