The facade of the Celsus Library has four statues of female spirits representing the vitues of Celsus.
They are from left to right Sophia (wisdom), Arete (virtue), Ennoia (intellect)and Epistome (knowledge).
Unfortunately these statues are replicas, the originals being in the Ephesus Museum in Vienna.
