Clematis tangutica seedheads

This clematis is twining over a fence at the Arboretum. In summer it produces abundant yellow flowers, and in fall, the seedheads are small and very similar to the wild clematis.

Love these seed heads. My mom had a huge clematis and used to say the seed heads reminded me of Phyllis Diller.

This fine is flourishing and I know it is has yellow beels. I just received Betty Corning, a mini, with violet bells. A beautiful shot of Fall bounty! V
