In the heart of the city of Ottawa, lies a 400 acre farm. This facility is operated and maintained by Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada and is where a considerable amount of important research on food crops is carried out. It is a wonderfully special and much loved place, first developed in the late 19th century. It has recently been designated a heritage site. Also on the farm is the Dominion Arboretum, the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, and the Agricultural Museum.
