Well, the late 19th century art, anyway. This image shows a collection of tools which were used in the Katoomba coal mine; everything from the coal shovel (1) and fork (4), to the haulage track rope (5), to the "stink pot" (I kid you not) lamp (8), to the rabbit trap (6, mmm, dinner!), to the coal skip wheel sprag (17) which was shoved into the wheels of coal skips to act as rudimentary brakes. Not exactly ABS with stability control, but hey, you go with what you've got...
