Wanda and I went for a hike in the canyon behind our home. Spring is just beginning in the high country. This area was snow covered a couple of weeks ago.

Oh,it was really muddy

That plant is called skunk cabage. It grows while the area is kind of boggy and wet. Back in the trees there were still patch of snow a few feet deep and those peaks will have snow until mid July.
