Stream cruiser (Didymops transversa)

NCC greenbelt area in west end of city. Nowhere near a stream, by the way. Despite their name, they are often found far from water. The only other individual of this species I saw was also some distance from water.

Canon PowerShot SX10 IS
1/250s f/5.7 at 100.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I would love to see one of those. Did you see the female? V

Love the name, Stream Cruiser... and yet not near water. Nice work with your tones and composition here! V

The details are superb Christine. This can be used as an illustration in a biology text book. The out of focus background is very nice. V
