Marlborough Forest. These dragonflies were abundant not only around the big pond but along the trails through the forest.

We have a simular species(Cordulia aenea) that starts to fly now.

Beautiful capture! I was planning to go there today until it clouded over. Although I saw a few butterflies at Jack Pine, I still haven't seen any dragonflies. V
