The vintage cars are being hauled by two yard diesel engines.
While the engine wasn't operated with steam, the cars
were vintage.
The four vintage passenger cards were barged into Nanimo for
a one-day-event that saw the passengers travel from Nanaimo
to Duncan to have dinner and an auction.
The Young Professionals of Nanaimo planned the trip as a fund-raiser
to add a new historical attraction to the tourist industry, and
to renovate Nanaimo's historic E&N train station.
Just over 200 passengers journeyed back to the 1880's on the
"Wild West Express".
Some of the passengers dressed in vintage clothes, and were
greeted by members of the Cowichan Valley Museum
also dressed for the 1880's.
