Also known as Speedwell. Non-native species, spreads but not rapidly. At least, not in our butterfly meadow.

I first saw this plant at one of my regular patches in 2006. There were just a few in one small area, but now they are more widespread. Last year I was starting to think that they were on the verge of becoming too common.

How lovely, a beautiful composition, stunning color and detail, it does not flourish here, unhappily. V
