The leaning gravestones look a touch to welcoming to me :-)
Seriously though, a very fine image.

Oh this is wonderful! I love churchyards, and this one is displayed in such a nice long view. I like the leaning stones, they point the way. I also find them a bit unsettling, which is good because it means your shot has impact. V

ANOTHER very fine image in your series... the way the left stones lean into the frame makes this shot.. great comp and light
Phillip Normanton11-Jan-2010 23:38
Super composition - I like how everything's more-or-less a midtone until you hit the tree!
Kathryn11-Jan-2010 22:26
I like the way you have taken it through the gravestones,
it all seems perfect, the wonderful tree to the left too.
Doug Cruden11-Jan-2010 22:12
Brilliant shot Stewart - glad to see you putting the Siggie through its winter paces :o)) I love the composition you've created here with the tombstones - my eye picks its way gingerly through the mid-ground stones until it finds the church, all the while being kept firmly in the centre of the frame by the shadow of the two biggies at the front and the overhanging branches of the tree...superb optical effect!! V
