Larose Forest. This large beaver lodge is under a light dusting of snow in late Nov., a sign of the winter to come. The animals have laid up a big store of food for winter... the food raft (or food cache) is to the left of the lodge, a long line of branches. They'll use these for food throughout the frozen winter months, reaching them from underwater.
