Rhue is a really great place to watch the sun crash dive into the sea just south of the Inverpolly reserve. it has a small lighthouse which can be carefully positioned to reflect in the pools of water gathered amongst a rich carpet of orange lichen which themselves prove extremely useful in picking up the last vestiges of orange light. The long time exposure has turned the choppy sea to an ethereal blur while a slice of apricot light cuts a swathe through the purple /blue of twilight.
