Midsummer Day here in Latvia it is big celebration Day. People sing special songs, eat special cheese, drink beer and make camp fires and ... . According to the Latvian calendar it is also names day for Liga and Janis (John) - most popular names for girl and a boy and they get special attention during celebration.
Some years ago i heard special Midsummer Day recording on Latvian Radio and eagerly waited one year in hope that they will play it again, so that i could record it on tape (i know that there is no CD with those songs, it is just in archives of Latvia Radio 1). And they played it.
