Our third and sixth days of the trip were spent in the Pygmy Cormorant hide. This is located in reed beds on the edge of an old fish farm pond in the northern part of Hortobagy NP. We wanted to return to this hide on our last day mainly because one of the hoped for birds, the Little Crake, had not put in an appearance on our first visit. Also, on our first visit the light had been poor for a while during a thunder storm and the Black Terns had not shown well. It was well worth the return visit.
