This was a very fine winter morning with very little wind and a fresh dusting of snow on the higher peaks. The only thing missing turned out to be a drop of morning sunlight which stubbornly refused to come anywhere near our position beside these meandering rivulets left over from the previous nights downpour of snow. For less than thirty seconds the sun miraculously appeared and struck the trees and shone out against the backdrop of the subdued hill. I was fortunate to capture the moment as it turned out to be the only break in the sky.
