I rarely shoot woodland scenes in Scotland mainly because there seems to be so little quality deciduous woodland to play with but I do like this little copse of very fine thick grey beech trees which get beautifully coated in velvet green moss which works so well with the fiery rust coloured leaves off the fallen Beech trees. Here I found a path to no-where covered in a carpet of leaves wending its way between two or three beautiful moss covered trees, the fact that it was dripping after a recent rainfall served only to saturate the colours already present.
