Scarasta Salt Marsh

Scarasta, Harris, Scotland

I would imagine that this is a slightly less familiar view of the intriguing jigsaw puzzle of patterns that are conjured up at the remarkable Scarasta salt marsh. I wanted something a little different so I did some exploring and came up with this angle on the shapely peak of Celaphabal featuring the beautiful reed bed. I was delighted by the structure and composition I had found but initially the desired light just wasn't there. Finally it came and swept across the hill and across the salt marsh turning the reeds to gold.
