Portknockie Gloaming

Portknockie, Moray, Scotland

Well before sunrise on a summer morning I found myself on a cliff top at Portknockie gazing out towards the aptly named bird shit rock. On the cliff top a fringe of thrift and birdsfoot trefoil perched a rapt audience to the unfolding sunrise in the ampitheatre below. A necessarily long exposure has glazed the water and smeared the clouds.
