Elgol Blues

Elgol, Skye, Scotland

A very moody day is the only time to photograph the Tolkeinesque mountains of Mordor. The black Cuillins ridge certainly looks the part and in the blue of twilight with luminous light lifting the yellow and red stones at the shoreline I had my opposing hues which makes this otherwise sombre scene pop with light and colour. Although I took a few different shots with various waves breaking over the rocks this one was the most cohesive and interesting to my eyes.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and the 2014 Transient Light Calendars are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

Wonderful moody shot that lifts the eyes up through the detail of the beach to the cloudy capped mountains
