The salt marshes at the southern end of Traigh Scarasta are some of the best and most complex of any I have seen. Unfortunately it was a pretty lousy looking day when we headed along the road to view them and in all honesty my hopes of getting something memorable were not high. But the rain abruptly and temporarily cleared to reveal the most exquisite golden light through which rain continued to pour. It is one of my very favourite pictures that I have managed to take thus far this year.
