It is always teriffic when a planned shot surpasses expectation. I realised of course that the sun had to pass through the band of cloud and I realised that the rising tide was increasingly impinging on the sculpted sandstone bedrock and that it would surely shine with the reflected light off the wet stones. My chief concern was whether the sun would be sufficiently muted by clouds to prevent impossible flare ruining the shot. Happily the answer was yes and I was able to shoot straight at the setting sun.
