A Higher Calling

Beinn Alligin, Torridon, Scotland.

I have climbed Tom Na Gruigach in the Torridons half a dozen times now and the view from the summit across to Beinn Alligin and the roof of Torridon never ceases to astonish me. Some days are undoubtedly better than others in the mountains but I can tell you now, this is one of the few scenes on one of those rare days that have ever brought tears to my eyes and a lump to the throat it seems to transcend earthly experiences and propel you towards a higher calling.

The light, the dusting of snow and the beautiful mountain, you have a wonderful image, I have been up once 40 years ago in low clouds - so this is what I missed.
