Just before Easter I was out one pleasant and warm evening with some of my wifes friends and two of us ended up on this natural geological fault line near Hopeman beach to watch the sun sink lazily into the sea. Warm as it was the sky still had an angry look to it so I wasn't expecting too much but as the sun burst below the clouds for a brief instant amber sunlight caught the geometrically cleaved edges of the rock and bounced off their smooth faces like golden splinters of a broken mirror. The show was over in seconds.
