Cove Bay Caves

Cove Bay, Moray, Scotland

Personally I find caves to be quite spooky places and I doubt I would go in there at all save for the multitude of fantastic coloured stones inside them that make these places a photographers paradise. Looking from the outside though I find it anything but welcoming. The gaping toothless mouth invites you to be eaten and I can't help thinking that the limpet covered pink foreground is not just pretty coloured bedrock but actually a gross, pitted, gigantic, lolling tongue!! I don't expect many sales from this one..

I find it fascinating although I don't like caves either .... I always think of that weight over my head which may "cave in" at any second. Nevertheless, I like this rock textures in this and the details.

Oh, Lord... and I thought it was just me.
The lolling tongue will haunt me.

(Maybe this is why it is called Moray? Isn't that where the eels come from - aaarrrggghhh)
