While out on a 1-2-1 course at Glencoe with a Turkish friend we experienced some very fleeting light punctuated by sudden sharp horizontal downpours which made photography very difficult. We covered the lenses and obtained separate exposures then briefly uncovered the lens getting one shot off before too many droplets formed on the filters attached to the lenses. The best shot was always when bands of strong light fleetingly passed by leaving dark then light areas to create depth.
