It is believed that the fallow deer
have been in the park since at least the mid-1400s... --
joined (in 1756) by the first English flock of Jacob sheep; and a scattering of cats!
You can also spot the occasional pheasant, etc., wandering around.
(And the odd peasant. Usually carrying a D200.)
