Delftware, earthenware pottery covered with a lustrous tin oxide glaze, was created as a cheap imitation of Ming Dynasty porcelain. Developed in Delft during the early 17th century, the collectibles depic windmills, birds or flowers painted in blue and white and other pieces in vivid red, green and gold.
