Joop's Dog Log - Monday May 03

Okay, okay, I`ll do dog things again today.
Some Dog Log visitors are getting a bit tired of my speeches on the Iraq situation.
They say:
"Why do you concern yourself with things human (..) go and run around in the woods" (yolima)
"Don`t think too much on that war!!" (nicki)
"It isn`t for doggies to be concerned about (..) let us worry about such things" (presamom)
Well, at least they have all thought about it. So thank you for the advice!
I`ll run. I`ll sniff. I`ll mark. I`ll dig. I`ll catch something. Do the dog thing.
And what do I get when I`m done?
Right!

Canon PowerShot G2
1/8s f/2.2 at 8.3mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Goede morgen JOOP. Ajuus DIEN.

I find it very refreshing to find a dog with a political conscience and you have had some very interesting things to say - more so than most humans - long may the speeches continue!

Sniff sniff... what did you find over there?? A squirrell?? Or cookies??? Yammiii.... I know that you and your human are passing throught tough moments with this war. I wish I could help. But I`m here in Brazil, so far away... when this war started my human was at Europe, and she said that this was affected so much everyone, that everyone suffered together with the soldiers. Well, if there`s anything I can do, let me know ok?? At the mean time, enjoy your day as I`m doing myself!! au au au, Nicki.

I know that they have good intentions and only want you to be happy, but since when do you let others tell you what to do, Joop? We will still visit you, whatever happens....

ditto f_ish`s comment, joop. it`s all well and good having a dog`s life, but it would be a loss for us without your unique perspective (is it something about the strong sense of smell?) : )

The first thing you will do is not take the advice of people who don`t like dogs that think about things that matter. It has always been apparent to me, Joop, that you are a very extraordinary dog...and your concerns about the world are interesting and relevant. When you`re done doing your doggie things...come back and give us your wonderful Joop insights. Forget the advice of those other people, in my mind they are the ones who snif the world then hide their heads. There is a lot going on for a dog to be interested in.

Joop, you keep speaking your mind. We need to hear it and we need to be reminded. Keeping quiet is how these things happen. Keeping quiet is how the travesties during WWII, Vietnam and other wars happened. If you don't speak up, someone else might not speak up as well. Only by speaking up can we stop this madness.

I would rather hear that bark in the wilderness. Perhaps it will awake us from this nightmare...

Our ruling class is leading us to Apocalypse, a luck at least a western dog is aware of that!

Joop, if you, as a dog on PBASE can change the mind of ONE person...then I applaud you!! Screw the humans who don't want to hear...I stick MY head in the sand enough, and to be reminded that there are HUMANS DYING for this....well, I need that reminder in MY life!!
