The Diplomatic Quarter (DQ) is a large expatriate compound in Riyadh that houses diplomatic missions as well as their personnel along with other expats and Saudis. "The Diplomatic Quarter or DQ as it is popularly known, is home to foreign embassies, international organizations as well as residences and malls. With lush gardens and numerous sports facilities, it is also one of the city's greenest areas. There is an enormous amount of construction going on in the DQ as well as countless large pieces of empty land -- looking more like gigantic sandlots -- where I'm sure some day they'll manage to put buildings up. Housing complexes in all stages of completion are everywhere, many apparently not yet occupied.

This isn't meant to be an "artistic" gallery, just some pictures to give an idea of what the DQ looks like in terms of construction and housing. I'll be adding to it as I see more of the DQ.
