As I mentioned earlier, we decided to sponsor Billy Bob, a delightful pygmy goat we had met at Poplar Spring. We spent a lot of time with him before the tour started (pictures at beginning of gallery), and were so taken with him that we even asked at the time if he had a sponsor. We just received a framed picture of Billy Bob and the sponsorship papers, which give a detailed description of him and the dire situation he was rescued from.
I found a news segment and report on the car chase and accident in which Billy Bob was involved http://wnep.com/2017/06/15/chase-involved-goats-sheep/
The sanctuary has a sponsorship program for all their animals, from chickens and turkeys to cows and horses and everything else in between http://www.animalsanctuary.org/sponsor-an-animal/ It’s not overly expensive and is a good way to help these people continue the admirable work they’re doing with their 300 or so rescued animals.
I’ll post the framed picture they sent me of Billy Bob next.
