Out on the Potomac

A lot of people were out on the Potomac River, with its waters still high from the weeks of torrential rain we just had, the day we visited Roosevelt Island. In the distance is part of Georgetown University, and beyond that National Cathedral, one of whose towers was damaged in an earthquake several years ago.

The stand-up paddle boarding is very popular down here. They even have yoga classes on paddle boards. :)

With those Cathedral towers it could be a scene from Europe! Nice to see people enjoying the river.
