I finally managed (with some difficulty and frustration) to get a “day-of” ticket online for entry to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The museum has been such a sensation since its opening in September 2016 that reserve tickets are booked at least four months in advance, simply amazing for a Smithsonian museum.
Anyway, it was so overwhelming at seven floors of displays that it would have taken several days to view properly, so I decided to breeze through it just to get an overview of what was there. I was done in an hour (!) and as a result didn’t take too many pictures. Some time, when its popularity has died down, if it ever does, Tim and I will go back together for a proper visit.
