The 'blizzard' comes to DC

Washington got hit by the giant blizzard on the Eastern seaboard today, although so far we have gotten away lightly. It’s hard to see, but there is a little boy with his little shovel who offered to help a neighbor with the snow. My azaleas, which were in such beautiful bloom last week, are in the foreground.

Such a pretty street. We didn't get much more than you but they really got blasted in upstate New York. V

something of a regression

In the top image it looks like you got a little more of this storm than we did. The row of houses is beautiful and has a unique character in this wintery photograph. Very nicely captured. VV

We have close to 2 feet and it's still falling. Beautiful winter scene. Love the little boy! V

Your street looks like a nice community, and very pretty with the snow.

Nice for the kids to enjoy a snow day away from school! Plus make a little $ with a snow shovel. Stay home by the fire day. Poor azaleas.

seems a manageable storm...the lad's assistance is to be saluted though, and would surely deserve at least a hot chocolate....such a well drawn scene...V

Pretty view but that's not a blizzard. If you want a blizzard come here to Western NY :-)

Snow can be nice but mostly brings a lot of trouble on the roads so i don't like it. It's beautiful to see though.

Two nice photos of the storm. I'll bet that sunlight was a welcomed sight. Vote.

I see the little helper, such a great behaviour to see. Hope you avoid the worst of this storm.

I think you did get away lightly if that is all you got. Its been snowing here for 30 hours, but so little per hour that we are getting away lightly also

Winter has been more than peculiar this year. A few images ago, people were in t-shirts, and now snow! A lovely shot, however, and yes, I see the little guy! V

The weather is unruly, mischievous! Beautiful capturing. V
