King Abdullah Park, Al Malaz

On our last day in Saudi Arabia, we had a driver at our disposal to take us anywhere we wanted to go. First we went to the national museum, as seen in the most recent pictures I’ve posted, and then we went to King Abdullah Park, in Al Malaz, Riyadh, where we had never been but had heard it was nice. Maybe it’s great at night when it’s packed with families and the fountain is colorfully lit up, but it was not nice during the day, right before it opened to the public. I had a hard time even finding anything to photograph but took a few to mark the visit. After the park, we made a tour of a new neighborhood, where I found a lot of gates and houses to photograph (naturally!).

This was the nicest view of the park that I could find.

I think you did a great job capturing this lovely park. All that greenery is not what one would expect in Saudi Arabia. V

it looks OK, and the trees certainly have character with the bristling bark..
