The annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival is currently under way on the National Mall. The weather was pretty ugly the day we went, but at least it wasn’t raining like it was on July 4. California and the Basque Country were the featured regions this year, the latter of which I found fascinating.
I guess these Basque men were supposed to be sheep and a ram or something. A bit strange, but I thought they were just fascinating and followed them all over.
