Basque mariner musicians

The annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival is currently under way on the National Mall. The weather was pretty ugly the day we went, but at least it wasn’t raining like it was on July 4. California and the Basque Country were the featured regions this year, the latter of which I found fascinating.

These were Basque musicians from a marine exhibit.

Glad you had a great time with the Basque people (Frontier region between Southern France and Northern Spain). They also have wonderful traditional food. The video is great helen
