Kingdom Tower

We went out to dinner (unusual for us, but it was for Tim’s birthday) the other night, and I brought my camera along in that hope that we might see some lit up buildings. We did, but of course I neglected to bring a tripod (as always), so this series of shots isn’t ideal but hopefully will give a hint of Riyadh at night.

I’m just posting all the night shots I took at once; if I never get out with a camera after dark again, well, I’ve got something, and if I do, then I’ll remember to bring a tripod! There are more buildings, too, that were begging to be photographed, among them the national library, which we saw but since it was on the other side of the major, gridlocked main avenue, we decided to attempt that another evening.

It looks completely different at night. I wasn't expecting a purple-ish hue either. Nice!
