We took a ferry to Bygdøy, which is situated on the innermost reaches of Oslofjorden and which used to be an island, although the sound was subsequently filled in. It is home to one of the city’s most exclusive residential areas as well as a number of museums that collectively reflect Norway’s cultural history and national life.
