Residential Bygdøy (1)

We took a ferry to Bygdøy, which is situated on the innermost reaches of Oslofjorden and which used to be an island, although the sound was subsequently filled in. It is home to one of the city’s most exclusive residential areas as well as a number of museums that collectively reflect Norway’s cultural history and national life.

The first in a series of houses in this pleasant neighborhood.

Oslo City Hall, home of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, posted earlier:

A very pretty house. I like the lines and contrast between the tiles and woodwork.
