One afternoon we dragged ourselves away from the spectacular architecture of Doha and took a drive down the Qatari coast, towards the border with Saudi Arabia. This will be a short gallery of that trip (plus a few from Doha that don’t fit anywhere else). Although we were following the coastline, a lot of what we saw was sand dunes along with heavily industrialized areas where photography was prohibited. We did find some nice places to stop, though, and were happy that we had a chance to see some of Qatar outside the capital city. Next time we visit, we’ll head north up the peninsula for something different.
