We took a day trip with a group of friends out to this area, which I think was east of Riyadh, to see monkeys, probably baboons, which somebody had seen there before in large numbers. Unfortunately we didn’t encounter any wildlife, but had a nice time visiting and driving around in search of the elusive critters.

We were getting ready to head home at this point, having found no monkeys in the area, although one of the drivers asked some laborers working on the power transmission lines up there, and they confirmed that there are indeed monkeys, just not in evidence that day.
