Palais Bahia

The Palais Bahia, or Palace of the Favorite, was built by two powerful grand viziers at the end of the 19th century. This will be a relatively short gallery featuring mainly the elaborate ceilings, which were different in every apartment we visited.

This was a difficult capture, and I never could get it lined up well. Despite everything, it was a beautiful ceiling.
