Palais Bahia

The Palais Bahia, or Palace of the Favorite, was built by two powerful grand viziers at the end of the 19th century. This will be a relatively short gallery featuring mainly the elaborate ceilings, which were different in every apartment we visited.

at first this looks so structural, in a European sense, but as seems usual in the Islamic swath it is overcome with decoration
