Arad Fort

This is Arad Fort (thanks to Gill for looking it up!), built in the 15th-16th century. It wasn’t open so not much to see, but the park near it was nice, as was the view of the city with flamingos in the water (but into the sun and too far for a good picture).

This looks like the Arad Fort, built, Wikipaedia thinks, in the 15th/16th century. Interesting that it looks like the flag is at half mast. Nicely captured Helen V

Around this little but massive fort wafts a hint of adventure which brings be back to Rimbeau's life in Abyssinia ( and I don't know why exactly :)...V.
