This unusual Doha tower, visible from quite a distance, was right next to the Venetian shopping mall in the previous picture. We couldn’t imagine what it was, like part of an amusement park? Turned out it was a hotel called The Torch, although we couldn’t figure out if it was part of a chain or a one off. I can’t imagine who would want to stay there as it’s way out from the city center with nothing much around except the Villaggio mall and some sports stadium under construction.
