More home sweet home

Just trying out my other new camera here, the Sony RX100 M3.

This is our patio right outside my office at home, with the maid’s quarters in the background, except we don’t have a maid and use it for a freezer instead. Our dinner is defrosting on the table – one great thing about the climate here is that I can decide very late in the day what to cook, and in about an hour it will be defrosted! We also have a chauffeur’s quarters, and that is used to keep things like boxes instead of a driver, which we don’t have, either.

When we first arrived here a year ago, the garden was in pretty poor shape, but I hired a gardener who has done wonders with it. He is going to be cutting back all the growth in view tomorrow and planting vegetables again.

Posted yesterday, a picture of our house taken with my other new camera, the Nikon D810:

In spite of the heat there, this garden looks pretty fresh. V

mind-boggling comparing size and shape of maid and freezer

Despite the heat, the green looks very nice which means indeed that it is been cared for.

protected from the heat by high trees around the house!

Such a contrast in a home to most everyone I can think of. Really a unique experience and your making the most of it. Looks as the M3 version is really nice also! V

Looks quite lush, and what a great advantage to be able to defrost food that way, no need for microwave. Always interesting to hear about your life out there. Be well, Helen. *V*
