Tree planting (1)

This tree-planting was going on for the entire afternoon we were there. Several flatbed trucks were carrying maybe eight trees, and then a gigantic crane would lift them into place, where a crew would center them and get them planted in the ground.

Maybe this is how trees are planted in other places, but personally I have never seen anything like it. I guess in most other places young trees are planted and they grow big; here they are planted when full grown – a ready-made garden!

The way to go - we've been watching the trees we planted for 17 years :( You've captured the whole scene and the attractive park very nicely V

Nicely composed and presented to tell a story. v

I'd bet the crane was needed to reach over the pond and because palms have a heavy moisture content (which makes them "extra" heavy). I think palm trees are slow growers and they wanted the look now.
