So near yet so far

Our car was delivered, too, much to our surprise as it hasn’t yet been registered for use in Saudi Arabia. It was wonderful to see it again; however, the moving company disconnected the battery and locked the trunk, where it’s supposedly located and which can only be opened electronically. Except we can’t open it because the battery is disconnected. This has presented a huge problem, so the embassy was going to check with BMW here to see if they could help. I thought it was a disaster when we simply couldn’t find the second set of keys (although we ultimately found them), but the battery thing is far more serious.

I absolutely love this car; the looks, and the ROOAARR! I can't forget the ride to Pécs, it was such a pleasure. I'm glad you got it there...

Oh, you have a real Catch 22 situation on your hands.
How frustrating for you.

Great to see your favorite things arriving. I have a Beamer too and inside the fob there should be a mechanical key that you can pull out and open the driver side door. Good luck.

Great your car and other possessions arrived even though there seems to be a comedy of errors you have to solve with BMW.Good luck...V

Great you finally received your belongings. It is always comforting to be surrounded by familiar things. A difficult problem about the car. Hope the Beamer place can straighten it out.

Famous last words: There has to be a way to open the car mechanically

We take our cars for granted, but when we can't use them we appreciate them all the more.

Beautiful car -no tinted windows - so you won't be able to use it unless you grow a beard.
